Broome Hovercraft offer a variety of
tours within Roebuck Bay, generally only on lower tides to give
their passengers an amphibious effect of flying on the tidal flats
and the sea. All of the tours are accompanied by witty and
educational commentary, taking in the amazing biodiversity of the
bay along with a magnificent array of migratory wader birds and
some very old, preserved dinosaur footprint trails.
On some occasions the remains of the Flying Boats destroyed in the
Second World War can be seen in the bay. Marvel at the glory of a
magnificent sunset whilst enjoying a delightful selection of hors
d’oeuvres and drinks on the tidal flats. On most evenings, a
“Staircase to the Sun” can be viewed across the bay depending on
tidal and weather conditions. |
